Cafe Borgia - Out History
Cafe Borgia - History

The lights go down at the end of the night and

already it's time to go home.

Customers become regulars and friends.

Our staff is like family.

To this day, time goes by so fast at The Cafe.

We were trained by outstanding restaurateurs--

Arnie Morton (Zorine's), Franco (Trattoria Roma) & Mel Markon (Markon's), to name a few.

Academically, University of Chicago and Joliet Culinary Institute gave balance.

Now, we are proud of those that we have trained.

Working "hands-on," Chef Mike Jesso has shaped our culinary team.

For over a decade, Keith, Mario & Bo have been so consistent in our kitchen.

At the same time, our servers enjoy remembering your special preferences.

In our dining room, Zdravko, Pablo & Rafael have taken care at your table.

For many, the Cafe is more than just a restaurant.  It's a place where people talk to strangers and sometimes sample each others food.  A place to come when you're alone and want to be around people with a glass of wine.  A place to bring dates.  A place for kids.

Don Powers and the Town of Munster gave us an opportunity---a place to provide conveniences for your dining pleasure.  Long-time customer-friend, Alex Gariup, constructed our building like it was his own.

Unique to Northwest Indiana, Cafe Borgia is owner-operated and independent--only one location,

where customer is always king.

It's a pleasure to serve you,

Mike & Karen Jesso

We'd like to share Jeff Hennecke's wonderful art with you.  A customer that sat down, and didn't leave...  We wouldn't want it any other way!
